A day built around them in Dallas

August 15, 2026 · American Airlines Center · Dallas, TX

On Saturday, August 15, Do Good Nation brought 75 Dallas area youth to BIG3 playoff weekend and built the entire day around them, from a park tailgate at breakfast time to the last handshake after the final buzzer.

Dallas is where Do Good Nation started, so this one was a homecoming, and it was made possible entirely by partners who showed up for their own city.

How the day went

More than a ticket

01

Tailgate in the park

The day started at a park near the arena with a full tailgate and breakfast, courtesy of Trader Joe's, Starbucks and Einstein Bros. Bagels. There was a basketball court right there, so before anyone had finished eating there was already a game going, and a table of markers where every kid made the sign they would carry into the arena.

02

The Impact Section

The whole group walked over to American Airlines Center together in matching Do Good Nation gear for premium seats in The Impact Section. They caught the BIG3 playoff games and a celebrity game, and by tipoff the section was the loudest block in the building.

03

Players and celebrities

After the games, the kids got to meet BIG3 players and some of the celebrities who had just been on the floor, the kind of moment that turns a game into something they carry with them.

The Tailgate

The day started on a court, not in a seat

Before the arena, everyone met at a park down the street for breakfast and a proper tailgate. There was a basketball court next to us, and it filled up almost immediately, with kids who had arrived as strangers picking teams within minutes. At the tables, markers came out and everyone designed their own game day sign to carry in.

That is the part that makes the rest of the day work. By the time we walked into American Airlines Center, they were not 75 individual guests, they were one group. Thank you to Trader Joe's, Starbucks and Einstein Bros. Bagels for feeding everyone, and to Fort Worth Screen Printing for the gear that made the group unmistakable.

Made Possible By

The partners who showed up

Dallas happened because a group of brands, local businesses and creators decided this was worth doing. Together they covered tickets, breakfast, fan gear and everything in between, so the entire day was free for participating families.

What's Next

Dallas was the start, not the finish

Everyone deserves the chance to experience the magic of live sports. Dallas is where this began, and every activation since has proved the same thing: when sports, community and access come together, kids remember it for years.

100% of donations go directly toward creating these days for the youth we serve: transportation, meals, tickets, fan gear, hands on activities and real access to athletes and mentors.
